We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Category Manager who will be responsible for Health category of Lazada Singapore. Given the size of the category (assortment and sales value), we are looking for a candidate who can show experience in managing people & diverse projects, is highly organised, and able to prioritise effectively to achieve strong commercial outcomes.
This highly analytical and proactive individual will help us drive growth, manage assortment, seller negotiations, and optimize campaign planning & execution. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and entrepreneurial activity to deliver the best range, value and service to our customers. The candidate will report directly to the Category Director.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of category strategy including identification of assortment gaps, development of online merchandising and promotion plans to achieve sales targets, ensuring pricing competitiveness, assortment completeness, and stock availability of key sellers in the category
- Lead market and category analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in business performance
- Establish strong partnerships and drive brands/sellers’ sales performance through joint business planning and regular business reviews
- Plan and drive campaigns to achieve sales goals, while working closely with cross functional teams
- Lead a team of key account managers and support them in working closely with brand partners and sellers
• Bachelor’s Degree from top undergraduate institution.
• At least 6 years' experience, preferably in Health & beauty and category management.
• Demonstrated track record of successful negotiations, influence and overall relationship management (both internal and external).
• Superb business judgment; has been recognized as an effective manager with hands-on experience in business and data analytics
• Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability and desire to contribute to wider team performance and culture.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Great communication skills (both oral and written) are a must.
• Mastery of MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) as well as an agility with web-based software applications and internally-developed systems
