The role
● Lazada Logistics is seeking a Senior Manager to build cross border BD team from 0 to 1. This position will be based in Guangzhou and report to the Regional Head of Commercial.
● You will be responsible for building and growing long term strategic partnerships with China brands expanding to Southeast Asia with requirement for B2C fulfillment, as well as working with solution team to improve competitiveness of our Multi Channel logistics offering.
● You will also contribute towards building an effective sales organisation by implementing high impact sales enablement/operations initiatives to improve pipeline conversions at both local country and regional levels.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Your main responsibility will be building long term strategic partnerships with China brands and sellers, and ensuring their success once onboarded. You will be expected to drive customer pitching; taking part in RFIs & RFQs, working with solution team to develop tailored pricing for E2E supply chain solutions to drive successful sales conversions
● You will be responsible for key client management of existing China brands customers, giving guidance and coaching junior team members as well as customer service team to ensure retention of customer and growth of wallet share of existing sellers
● You will responsible for working with Lazada Cross border platform team (Lazglobal) for joint BD and development commercial-logistics joint programs to improve the competitiveness of Fulfilled-by-Lazada solution and increase overall stickiness of brands/sellers with Lazada
● You will be responsible for working together with our S&OP team, performance management team & operation team to provide sales forecast, closely monitor the operational performance of our key strategic partners, understand our cost structure and ensure competitive service level and price offered to potential customers
● As the cross border BD leader, you will also be responsible for conducting market research to stay updated on competitive landscape, customer needs, evolving technology trends, regulatory trends and pipeline report as well as market feedback to senior management.

● You have a Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant disciplines
● You have 5-7+ years of professional experience, primarily in Partnerships and Sales, Business development and Account management within the ecommerce logistics with focus on contract logistics or warehousing business or supply chain industry
● Experience in, or familiarity with e-commerce platform would be a strong plus
● You have a strong track record in sales and negotiation; and have demonstrated the ability to build long term strategic partnerships
● You have strong project management skills, with experience in managing cross functional (Ops to Finance) and complex multi-stakeholder projects
● Fluency in English as working language is a must. Overseas working/living experience and work experience with MNC where English is a business language is preferred
● You have extensive knowledge of the logistics/supply chain landscape in Southeast Asia, including key 3PL providers
● You have excellent presentation and structured communication skills to engage senior stakeholders internally and with customers
● You are an energetic and action-oriented individual who is confident in working independently with minimal supervision
● You are a critical thinker and clear communicator with a proven ability to influence people, work confidently with different stakeholders
