Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop category strategies to drive growth and customer engagement within the assigned product categories on the Lazada platform in the Philippines-Manila market.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category optimization and new product introductions.
- Manage and build strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring product availability, pricing, and promotions are competitive.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and logistics to execute category plans, improve user experience, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Monitor category performance metrics, such as sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve business targets
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in category management, preferably in e-commerce or retail, with a proven track record of driving sales growth.
- Solid understanding of the Philippine market and consumer preferences, as well as experience working with local and international suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Data-driven decision-making abilities, with experience in using data analytics tools to inform strategies and measure performance.
- Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
