As Data Security Governance Lead, you will set a high standard for data security governance risk management, collaborate across the organization, and drive compliance to data security policy standards through effective policies, processes, and practices. Consequently, you will spearhead initiatives to raise awareness around key data security risks and compliance; thus, ensure that data security requirements are effectively communicated to the business, product, and other tech teams.
The key responsibilities of the role would be to:
Define, update, and manage an appropriate country-wide contextual policies and processes, in coordination with different business functions to protect customer information and business critical data.
Develop a methodology to ensure that policies are consistently applied across the enterprise; monitor adherence of the defined governance principles to ensure that expected value is delivered.
Articulate data policies and risk driven priorities to stakeholders and leaders, work with teams to drive plans for adherence to policies.
Develop and enhance relationships with business and product stakeholders to understand data security requirements, manage expectations, and monitor compliance levels.
Work with regional Data Security & Compliance team to improve the policies and processes for data security compliance.
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with at least 5-8 years of experience in security governance, risk, and compliance
Preferred: Experience in defining policies, processes, and procedures, with proven ability to execute; either from Internet (e-Commerce), Fintech, or any tech industry
Desired: Working experience in Cybersecurity transformation projects
Advantage: Security & Privacy Certifications like CISSP/CIPM/CIPT/CISM/CCSP/CDPSE
