Manager - Corporate Research and Intelligence-Regional
Under Group Strategy team, this role will focus on Corporate Research and Intelligence. There are 5 areas of focus for the research team. • Tracking the macro-economics indicators and understand its implication to Lazada business • Collaborate with internal colleagues (i.e. Business Intelligence team) to help formulate strategy for the Commercial team • Monitoring competitors’ performance • Building thoughts leadership (both internal and external) • Running ad-hoc research projects
Key tasks and responsibilities • Design and manage research projects (both internal and external) • Interpret data from multiple sources and make actionable recommendations • Ensure and foster strong collaboration across different business units • Keep abreast of the competitive environment (especially the key competitors) and incorporate competitive intelligence in the analysis • Drive Lazada thought leadership in consumer insights • Stay up to date with the latest developments in market research, and constantly suggest refinements to current processes.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in research or consulting across APAC (specifically on ASEAN) • Experience in running research using range of methodologies (ideally a mix of both quantitative and qualitative methods) • Self-starter, demonstrating strong sense of business ownership; Highly adaptable • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to translate research into business insights • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders at various levels of the organization and execute cross-functional projects • Strong Project Management ability (managing changing priorities and aggressive deadlines) • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English (ideally one other ASEAN language) • Hands-on experience with SQL will be a plus point
